Abstract
The Transformation of Secrets and Music is an electro-acoustic sound sculpture. The combination of concentric polyhedral speaker arrays, movement and light are used to create the impression of one sound encased inside another. The audio source material (musical performances and the spoken secrets of the musicians) is original and is being recorded specifically for this project. The multi-layered nature of personal secrets is explored through the acoustic design of the sculpture itself, as well as through the recording and arrangement processes.
